AIM: To identify, label, educate, treat and prevent Sickle Cell anaemia cases in early childhood.

Project Profile: In south gujarat, families of certain tribes like Dhodia, Kukna, Varli, Vasava, Chaudhari etc. Communities suffer from a genetic disorder of blood called sickle cell anaemia, wherein they suffer from anaemia, jaundice, joint pain and malnutrition. Offen they die at early age of 15-30 years due to involvement of lungs, heart and major organs.

The trust is serving school children of Pardi taluka by checking their blood for this diseas, give them medicines, educate them for its seriousness and for precautions fo be taken, give them blood whenever required at very nominal rate or free of charge.
